Two key members of the effective Dryden Ice Dog penalty killing unit are
headed west to play for their former coach.
The Ice Dogs have traded Cory Smith and Ryen McKinnon to the Kindersley
Clippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for forwards Nicolas Doiron and Derek
Reid.
Doiron is a 5-11, 180 pound left winger who brings speed and grit to
the line-up.
He scored 6-goals and 12 assists in 53 games last season.
Reid is a 2-way player who moves the puck well.
He played in 34 games and registered 11 points.
Smith and McKinnon will be reuinted with former Dogs Bench Boss Larry Wintoneak.
