The Thunder Bay North Stars scored four times on the powerplay on six opportunities to hand the Dryden GM Ice Dogs their first loss of the season 5-3 Friday night at the Memorial Arena.
Braeden Allkins opened the scoring with a powerplay goal of his own but the North Stars would respond with four unanswered.
Dryden GM finally mounted a late game comeback with Eric Stout scoring his 7th goal of the young campaign and Jacen Bracko notching his fourth.
Jesse Talakoski iced things with a powerplay goal.
Thunder Bay ended up outshooting Dryden GM 34-28.
The Ice Dogs look to get back on track Saturday night at home against English River at 7:30
In other SIJHL action, the Thief River Falls Norskies handed the Minnesota Iron Rangers a 7-3 loss in Hoyt Lakes.
