It was a back and forth affair but when the dust settled the Fort William North Stars skated away with a 5-2 win over the Dryden Ice Dogs Saturday night.
The two teams were tied at 1 after the first frame thanks to a powerplay goal by Joe Harding.
The Stars held a 3-1 lead in the third when Tyler Tesh scored a shorthanded goal.
Fort William added a pair of goals late to ice things.
Dryden finished the game with a 1-14 mark on the powerplay.
