Ice Dogs Preparing For Playoffs; New Song Released

Playoff fever is starting to fill the air in Dryden.

The Ice Dogs take on the Thunder Bay North Stars Saturday and Sunday for the start of the SIJHL Semi-Final.

President Mike Sveinson was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Tuesday and says tickets are now on sale at Casually Hip in downtown Dryden.

Sveinson is hoping for a big rush for pre-game ticket sales, noting it will reduce line-up’s at the door.

He’s also hoping for a huge turnout for all playoff games.

There will also be a poster competition during Game 1 and all fans are encouraged to bring a sign in support of the team.

There will be prizes for the top posters.

The Ice Dogs have also released their new theme song and creator Colin Hillier was on the morning show for its debut today.

Hillier produced the song with Jordan Witty.

He says he wanted a great song to amp up the team, players and fans.

The original was produced in 2012 with rave reviews, and Hillier says he wanted to improve the sound of the theme song.
