The Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners kicked off the SIJHL regular season with a classic.
The Ice Dogs erased a 3-0 deficit with four goals in six minutes in the second period for a 4-3 win in front of a packed house at the Ear Falls Arena Friday night.
Richard Dartnall, Cody Colby and Layne Anderson sparked the early lead for the Miners.
Ryan Scott, John Philley and Cole Golka tied it up for Dryden GM.
Matt Houston netted the winner with 7 seconds left to play in the second period
Josh Martin picked up the win, while Greg Harney suffered the loss.
The rematch is Saturday night at 7:30 at the Dryden Memorial Arena.
