The Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding the ice
fishing public that huts need to be removed from area
lakes.
Owners who abandon their ice shacks or store them on
Crown land, islands, the shore, or access points are in
violation of the Public lands act.
Enforcement Officer Mat Brooks says abandoned shacks
pose environmental damage to waterways.
