Ice Huts-MNR #2

Most Ice huts in the Northwest Region should have

already been removed from area lakes.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding ice

anglers to remove their shacks and help keep the lake

environment clean and safe.

Enforcement Officer Mat Brookes says its not uncommon

for some ice huts to be abandoned.

Q:”…regard.” 19 seconds

Brooks adds owners may be liable for removal costs.

Abandoned huts pose environmental damage to the lake,

and a navigational hazard to Spring boaters.
