The Township of Ignace is supporting the CT Scan Unit renewal fund at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
The municipality is donating more than $14,000 for the $1.25-million local campaign.
Mayor Lee Kennard says they rely on the Dryden Hospital for ambulance and emergency needs and stresses it’s important to support fundraising efforts.
He says a number of Ignace residents utilize the current CT scanner, although most residents in Ignace receive medical treatment at the Mary Bergland Health Centre.
