The Immigration population in Northwestern Ontario is on
a decline.
Statistics Canada recently released new information from
the 2006 Census, that shows the immigration population has
been decreasing for the past 5 years.
Analyst Sylvie Bourbonais says most immigrants coming to
the Northwest are Europian.

The number of immigrants who lived in Kenora decreased
to 745 from 930 between 2001 and 2006.
