Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault would like to see improved technology installed at U-S border crossings in Northwestern Ontario.
The comments come as a new customs and immigration facility is about to open in Fort Frances.
Nault says he has spoken at length with officials on both sides of the border and wants this region included when any new security measures are put in place.
He adds the main objective is to find a seamless way to continue trade and tourism with the U-S without inconveniencing residents or delaying commercial traffic.
