The Regional Supervising Coroner for Inquests says an inquest will be held into the death of Ina Matawapit.
The 37-year-old woman died on June 7th, 2012 at the Weagamow Lake Nursing Station following a transfer from a police vehicle while in custody.
Dr. David Eden says the probe will examine the circumstances surrounding her death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The exact date and location hasn’t been determined but Eden is anticipating a Fall start in Sioux Lookout.
Dr. Michael Wilson will preside over the case.
