A Conservative MPP says he appreciates the spirit of the Invasive Species Act, but he still has concerns.
Toby Barrett says under the legislation landowners could be held liable for having invasive species on their property, even if the species spread without human assistance.
Barrett says the province should be stressing the importance of prevention, promotion and education.
He also questions the Act allowing entry without a warrant.
