Believe it or not, most of Northwestern Ontario
experienced a warmer than normal January.
The normal temperature for Kenora and Dryden is minus
17, while the average came in 2 degrees warmer.
Environment Canada says windchill warnings were in
effect for most of the region, with much of the Northwest
experiencing minus 40 temperatures.
The minus 15 degree average last month was a degree
colder than January 2007.
