Jobs Training Program Introduced For Metis People

There’s a new federal program in place designed to teach specialized job skills to Métis people in Canada.

Labour Minister Patty Hajdu is confident the government can deliver results by giving Métis people the skills and education they need to succeed in the workforce.

The ten year program is coming at a cost of $625-million.

Hajdu says it will also allow Metis people to design for themselves what will work in their home communities.
