The Nishinawbe Aski Nation is still waiting for both

levels of government to cough up more funding for their

police service.

Grand Chief Stan Beardy says the Kaseshewan First Nation

will maintain its Nishinawbe Aski Police detachment.

Q:”…deficiencies.” 16 seconds

Beardy says he’ll be discussing the matter with his

Chiefs, and then they will decide whether or not to close

the northern NAPS detachment.

The force is policing NAN territory while the Province
