A storm from the U-S is expected to slam into northwestern Ontario by this evening and dump about 15 centimetres of snow by midday tomorrow.
Areas near Lake Nipigon south to Atikokan will get rain first, but that’s expected to change over to ice pellets and freezing rain.
Environment Canada says there may be significant amounts of freezing rain.
A winter storm watch covers Kenora, Dryden, Atikokan, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and over northwestern communities.
