The Kenora District Services Board is proposing a 2.5%
increase in its 2008-2009 budget.
The services board has completed a draft version of the
39.9 million dollar budget
Chief Administrative Officer Stain Leaf says they’ve set
aside money for salary increases, as well as a number of
ambulance projects.

The budget will be voted on this Thursday at the board’s
November meeting.
Area municipalities will be responsible for 13 million
dollars of the budget, Kenora’s share is 26.6%, while
Dryden will pick up 17 percent.
