The Services Board has been told to come up with a 10-year plan to address the homelesness and housing issues facing the region.
CAO Dan McNeil says a number of groups will be involved.
McNeil says service providers need to be consulted to ensure their is no dublication of services.
KDSB Chair Barry Baltesson says fixing the problem is a team effort.
He notes there’s a lack of integration of services and a lack of understanding among community groups.
Baltesson says the plan will include the social issues behind the homeless problem.
