KDSB Out With Poverty Funding

The Kenora District Services Board is out with $130,000 in funding to help local communities and organizations in the fight against poverty.

The Services Board’s very own Back to School program is benefiting the most with $45,000.

The Dryden Mayor’s Committee for Children and Youth is welcoming $25,000, while Kenora Triple Play is receiving $20,000.

The Sioux Lookout P.R.O. Kids initiative is getting nearly $14,000.

The Red Lake ‘Kids Are Recreationally Equal’ (KARE) program is receiving $9,000, the Minto Parent and Child Resource Centre is getting $7,000, while the Beaver Brae PASS Program is welcoming $2,000.

Igance is also benefiting as the Loonie Lunch Program is looking at $4,000.

Roughly $1,400 is going to the communities Nursery School Parent Cooperative.
