The province is investing more money in housing initiatives.
The Kenora District Services Board has learned there will be a province-wide contribution to the Community Homelessness Prevention Initiative of $42-million annually.
The joint provincial-federal Investment in Affordable Housing program will see an additional $800-million over the next 6-years.
The KDSB says the funding will help increase their ability to provide safe and affordable homes within the district.
