The Kenora District Services Board is touting its investments in solar technology.
Between 2011 and 2013, the Board installed nine different MicroFit Solar projects throughout the district.
Officials stress by using renewable energy they will be able to generate additional revenue.
The Board says the windfall will be used to increase reserves and assist in future investments in Social Housing and other projects.
