Major changes are needed in the health care system to help northern Ontario deal with a severe shortage of physicians.
That’s according to PC leader Patrick Brown.
Brown says the best way to deal with shortages is to educate them here at home.
He says he’s met a number of doctors and physicians who met their significant other while working in the north and they ended up staying.
Brown stresses he would like to see additional spaces freed up at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
