New housing units are in place in Frenchman’s Head.
The Federal government has helped open three new triplexes, now giving nine families a place to stay.
The Trudeau Liberals invested over $1.45-million for lot servicing and construction costs, while Lac Seul First Nation contributed $250,000 to the project.
Kenora MP Bob Nault says Lac Seul has a growing population with more than 3,400 people and immediately addressing urgent housing needs is necessary.
Nault says they have also provided $195,000 to help the First Nation renovate 10-homes to meet health, safety and fire requirements.
