Kenora MP Says Government Will Invest In Violence Against Women Strategies

Kenora MP Bob Nault says violence against women has gone under the radar for years but stresses that will soon change.

The Liberal member says supporting women and children in a dangerous situation is a main component of the Trudeau agenda.

Nault says we will soon see a lot more resources invested in improving the lives of women and keeping them and their families safe.

Nault made the comments during the grand opening of a new Emergency Shelter for Women and Children in Dryden last week.

He says the facility does a lot for the region in the sense of keeping families safe and helping people turn their lives around.

Nault was featured on Northwest Monitor Sunday morning and to hear that interview, visit the Audio link below.
