The Keewatin Patricia District School Board won’t decide
the fate of Dryden area schools until February 2008.
The Accomodation Review Committee has submitted two
options for the board.
The board could consolidate Pinewood and Riverview
public schools and build a new larger school on the
Riverview site. This option means Wabigoon would be
renovated.
Superintendent of Finance Dean Carrie says the options
range in expenses.

The second option calls for the consolidation of
Pinewood and Wabigoon. The committee also suggests
Riverview school be rebuilt on its existing site.
The committee is also recommending the permanent closure
of Oxdrift school.
