The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has 60 days
to decide the fate of several schools in the Dryden area.
The Accomodation Review Committee has provided 2
recommemdations to the public board.
One is the consolidation of Pinewood and Riverview
Public Schools, with a new mega school built on the
Riverview site. This recommendation also calls for
Wabigoon school to be renovated.
Superintendent of Finance Dean Carrie says the board
will have a decision by its February 2008 open meeting.

The other commitee recomendation calls for Pinewood and
Wabigoon to be consolidated with a new building built on
the Pinewood site, and Riverview school be replaced with a
new building.
The final suggestion from the advisory committee states
Oxdrift school should be permanently closed.
