The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is looking
to improve its graduation rates.
The public board recently reviewed several of its “Learn
to 18″ initiatives geared at keeping kids in school until
Grade 12 graduation.
Beaver Brae Principal Sean Monteith says they’ve seen an
increase in the graduation rate, but notes there’s always
room for improvement.

The public board has had great success with connections
courses. The alternative program has benefited students
who learn better out of the classroom.
