The Keewatin Patricia District School Board is examining
its “Learning to 18” programs.
The public board is looking at its initiatives that have
helped increase the graduation rate in both aboriginal and
non aboriginal students.
Beaver Brae Principal Sean Monteith says connection
courses, urban aboriginal programs, and all day co-op
placements have kept students interested in school.

The Keewatin Patricia District school board currently
has a 78% board wide graduation rate.
The Provincial standard is around 85%
