The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is touting their hockey skills academy.
The initiative lets experienced and new play hockey with equipment provided by the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program.
Director of Education Sean Monteith mentions benefits of the academy like increased school attendance from students and a feeling of teamwork.
There are currently around 115 students taking part in the program.
