Kenora’s Larry Hope has been selected as the new Director of Education
for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
The current Superintendent is heavily involved in special education,
character development and safe school initiatives.
Hope says enhancing aboriginal programs is high on his priority list as well as boosting literacy and numeracy skills.
Hope started teaching in 1990 and was appointed
Superintendent in 2006.
Hope replaces Janet Wilkenson who is retiring at the end of the
school year.
