Lawsuit

The Sioux Lookout Area Aboriginal Management Board and the Federal
Government are going to court.
The group is suing Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and
the Chiefs of Ontario over funding for child daycare services.
The SLAAMB claims there funding has been slashed from $538,000 to
$300,000 and there are only 3 daycare centres among its 25 First Nation member
communities.
The HRDSC has declined comment as the matter is before the courts.
