LHIN’s Moving Forward

After months of waiting, the Provincial Government has finally
announced who will be heading up the new Local Health Integration Network
in Northwestern Ontario.
The Network will replace the old Northwest District Health Council and
Gwen Dubois-Wing has been appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle believes the Network
will improve the delivery of health care services in the Region.
The agency will be based out of Thunder Bay and will cover an area
from Lake Superior to the Manitoba boundary.
