The only candidate so far for the Liberal nomination in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding says she wants to be our advocate in the Ontario Legislature.
Karen Kejick says if elected, she doesn’t plan to be just a mouth piece for the party.
Kejick says just because she’s running for the Grits, doesn’t mean she will agree with everything they do.
The Shoal Lake #39 resident says she has shown, through her advocacy, that she’s not afraid to stand-up to the government on what’s right.
Kejick notes the people of Kenora-Rainy River can count on her to stand-up for them at Queen’s Park.
Kejick does says she appreciates the work Kathleen Wynne has done to combat violence against Indigenous women.
She feels the government has done more than any other party to help women in crisis.
