Liberal MPP Suggests Bringing In Ontario Northland Bus Service

The region’s lone Liberal MPP hopes the provincial government will be able to help provide more transportation services now that Greyhound has announced it’s pulling out of the northwest by November.

Thunder Bay-Superior North’s Michael Gravelle says he plans on speaking with Kenora-Rainy River’s Greg Rickford.

Gravelle says his previous government made a commitment to bring Ontario Northland service in northeastern Ontario into this area.

He says that is one option on the table.

Gravelle also wants to work with Rickford to get help for Kasper Transportation and their route servicing the northwest.

He notes Kasper has done a very good job trying to fill in the gaps.

Gravelle understands it’s very short notice and he wants to give Rickford time to digest the suggestions.
