The United States Bureau of Customs and Border
Protection is facing a joint lawsuit over softwood lumber
duties.
The Ontario Forest Industry Association is one of the
groups suing, and President Jamie Lim says the lawsuits
target the states Byrd Amendment.

Lim adds the legal action will send a st rong message to
the states that Canada will not back down when it comes to
it’s economic interests.
The states has just under sixty days left to respond to
the suit.
