Students at St. Johns school in Red Lake are spearheading the good Samaritans purse program.
The grade 1 and 2 students will be preparing shoeboxes to send to children in third world countries by Christmas.
Things that can be donated are school supplies, toys, socks and toiletries.
Children can also prepare their own shoebox full of items, and drop it off at the school.
The deadline is November 16.
