Man Dies In Quetico Provincial Park

A 63-year-old American has succumbed to his injuries following a bizarre incident in Quetico Provincial Park.
Provincial Police say Charles Emerson Showalter of Wheeling, West Virginia was camping at Point Lake last Tuesday when a large section of a tree fell and struck him as he was sleeping inside a tent.
A storm blew through the area that day.
Fellow campers tried to provide lifesaving efforts on scene.
