Man Dies In West Hawk Lake Diving Incident

One man has died after a diving incident at West Hawk Lake.

The Falcon Lake RCMP detachment were called to the scene around 1:30 Saturday afternoon, where a 55-year-old Winnipeg man was pronounced dead.

They say he was on a recreational dive with his wife when an accident occurred.

No foul play is suspected as RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

Falcon Lake RCMP respond to diving accident at West Hawk Lake

On September 30, 2017, at approximately 1:30 pm, officers from the Falcon Lake Detachment received a report of a male diver in distress at West Hawk Lake.

The diver, a 55-year-old male from Winnipeg, was conducting a recreational dive with his wife when the accident occurred.

The diver was pulled from the water and later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators believe the diver may have run out of air and suffered a medical issue as he surfaced.

No foul play is suspected.

The Falcon Lake RCMP continue to investigate.
