The NHL Hockey Legends tour hits Sioux Lookout Friday night with a fundraising game against the Sioux Lookout All-Stars.
Hockey Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne will coach the Legends All-Stars team.
He says he’s excited about the opportunity, noting he loves to get away and visit small and rural communities.
Dionne says he enjoys talking to community members and area youth.
The NHL great says he’s happy to stay behind the bench and coach such names as Rick Vaive, Mike Krushelnyski, Trevor Kidd and Cliff Ronning.
The 6:30 game is in support of Sioux Lookout Minor Hockey, with an after party featuring country star Aaron Pritchett to follow at the Legion.
Dionne, now 66, played 18 seasons in the NHL, finishing with 731 goals, which is fifth all-time.
