A challenge to the kids at New Prospect School in Dryden has resulted in some extra cash for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Vice-Principal Kathy McConnachie told students that if they managed to raise $1,500, she would shave her head.
$3,200 later, McConnachie went through with it.
Her mother has been diagnosed with brain cancer and McConnachie says she wanted to help in some sort of way.
McConnachie says more awareness has to be put on the effects of the deadly disease.
