More people are talking mental health and getting treatment, but the stigma around it remains.
That’s according to Nancy Daley-Fulton, an educator trainer with the Canadian Mental Health Association.
She says mental illness can be treated and people shouldn’t be afraid to seek help.
Daley-Fulton says the sooner you get treatment, the better your life will be.
Daley-Fulton says one in three people will be effected by a mental illness over their lifetime with 50% developing a problem by the time they are 14.
This is Mental Health Awareness Week.
