The provincial government has announced it will be giving the Metis Nation of Ontario a 300-thousand dollar boost.
The funding was announced at the Metis General Assembly in Kenora this week.
Metis Nation President Tony Belcourt says the funding will be used to house its programs in a new community centre in Thunder Bay.
More provincial funding through the Trillium Foundation is expected later this week.
