Metis People Set To Benefit From Federal Budget

Plenty of positive announcements in the federal budget for the Metis Nation of Ontario.

President Margaret Froh says there were commitments related to education, skills development, tourism, housing and child care.

However, Froh says more details are needed to determine exactly how they will benefit.

There was also funding to support self-governance.

She notes they signed a memorandum of understanding on advancing reconciliation with the federal government back in February.
