The Push for Change walk across Canada has arrived.
Joe Roberts will host school and public events Friday and Saturday in Dryden.
Roberts is raising awareness and funds for youth homelessness.
He is a former homeless addict, who transformed his difficult life to become a successful businessman.
Roberts was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Thursday and he says he will be telling a story that will inspire, motivate and collapse some of the stigma around youth homelessness.
He stresses there’s unlimited-untapped potential inside each and everyone of us, but sometimes we lose sight of that.
Roberts says he will also talk about how the issue presents itself in the North, noting it’s a different problem here compared to southern Ontario.
On Friday, Roberts is scheduled to walk and talk with area students from the Golden Mile Plaza to the Centre.
At 12:45, he will deliver his presentation.
On Saturday, Roberts will hold a meet-and-greet at the Centre at 11:00.
He will then speak to community members at 11:30.
Donations will be accepted to support youth homelessness initiatives.
