Expect to see Kenora’s Mike Richards suit up for the Washington Capitals as early as Thursday night.
The Caps have announced the signing of Richards to a one year, one million dollar pro-rated contract.
General Manager Brian McLellan says they are eager to see what Richards can bring to the team.
McLellan calls Richards a solid competitive two way player and has been a proven leader on other teams.
He notes Richards is motivated to re-establish himself as key player in the NHL.
The Capitals take on the New York Islanders tonight.
