Mining Strategy

Northwestern Ontario communities are being asked for input as the
Province develops a new mineral development strategy.
The Government says a number of challenges face the industry in the
coming years and a new scheme is needed to ensure Ontario remains a
leading mining jurisdiction.
Workshops will also be held with stakeholders and aboriginal groups
before consultations close at the end of November.
