Minister feels for Dryden, but No Casino will be B

The Minister responsible for Economic Development admits the gaming
industry puts billions into Provincial coffers and creates hundreds of
jobs.
However, Joe Cordiano says he is not willing to budge on his decision
to grant any more casino licenses.
Cordiano says he realizes Dryden is looking at ways to expand its
economy and stresses programs are already in place such as the ‘Go North’
campaign.
He adds the Heritage Fund and Grow Bonds initiatives are also
available to help local Municipalities expand.
Cordiano believes the creation of new Casino’s would dilute the market.
