Fish populations are on the mind of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
April Mitchell is a biologist with the MNR and says they are out speaking to anglers during a Creel survey on the Winnipeg River.
Mitchell says the survey includes some very important data.
She says it helps the MNR manage fisheries and look at the sustainability in terms of harvest catch and release.
The Creel survey will run until the end of September.
