The Ministry of Natural Resources critic for the Provincial
Conservatives is refusing to let the forestry crisis in the North become
an after-thought.
In the Legislature last week, Norm Miller stressed that all of the
recommendations contained in the Council on Forest Competitiveness Report
have not been implemented despite comments to the contrary from Minister
David Ramsay.
Miller also asked the Premier why the Government has not appointed a
Chief Forester, one of the main recommendations of the Council.
Miller adds the energy rebate program for the Region will not stem
future job losses.
