The Ministry of Natural Resources says it’s making great strides on two large fires in the district.
Crews are mopping up after Saturday’s blaze in the Highway 502/594 area.
Motorists are asked to drive slowly in the area as personnel continue to work on the four hectare fire.
Oxdrift, Dryden, Machin and Wabigoon fire fighters assisted in efforts on the weekend.
A second grass fire was reported Sunday afternoon near the Dryden airport and the MNR responded right away.
The fire in the Shoal Lake area is now 350-hectares in size and is smouldering.
Power has been restored and Shoal Lake Road is now passable.
